The RAFALEX trading and service company is located in Wilcze Błota Kościerskie, Stara Kiszewa commune, Kościerzyna county. The owner of the company since 1997 is Mr. Rafał Wons. The business was launched on the basis of an existing slaughterhouse building, previously operated and then handed over to his son by his father, Zygmunt Wons. With Poland’s accession to the European Union, modernisation of the facilities was undertaken in order to adapt the slaughterhouse to EU requirements. Particular focus was placed on:

• expansion of the slaughterhouse facilities;
• equipping the plant with modern machinery and equipment;
• implementation of HACCP, GHP and GMP process control systems;
• development of the slaughterhouse transport fleet.

At present the company’s activity is focused mainly on:

• beef quarters, meat and beef cuts.

The company is constantly developing and investing in its growth in order to improve production standards and meet market requirements as well as European Union law.
